“For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and joints and marrow and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart”——Hebrews 4:12
There is nothing so powerful, energetic or effective as the word of God. The word of God can break any barrier, obstacle or mountain in pieces. The word of God gives life (Psalm 119:50). God uphold all things by His word.
Let me share my personal testimony of how powerful God’s word is, “I was knock down by a bus on my way to church on a Sunday morning. The last thing I saw was my bible on the ground and I passed on. I did not hear any word from a living soul. I saw a thick darkness and I was about to leave this realm, but something sustained me and kept me alive. In the midst of the thick darkness, my spirit man was repeatedly quoting Psalm 118:17 ‘I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord’. These words were repeated over and over in my spirit man, and I came back to life.(Praise God)”. I would have been a dead man today, if not for the word of God. The word of God gives life (Psalm 119:50) ,is sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit and of joints and marrow.
Jesus says in John 6:63 “It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profit nothing. The words that I speak to you are Spirit, and they are Life. Lazarus was dead for four days but Jesus spoke the word “Lazarus come forth” and he that was dead and buried for four days came forth from the dead (John 11:1-42). Jesus spoke the same word to a man who had an infirmity thirty-eight years, “Rise, take up your bed and walk”. Immediately the man was made whole, took up his bed and walked (John 5:1-9).
The centurion in Matthew 8:8 understood how powerful God’s word is, he said to Jesus “—- I am not worthy that you should come under my roof but only speak a word and my servant will be healed”.
No matter what you might be going through today every thing is within the power of God’s word. Just have faith in His word and it will work for you.
Romans 4:18-21 talks about Abraham, “Who contrary to hope, in hope believed, so that he became the father of many nations, according to what was spoken so shall your descendants be, and not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body, already dead (since he was about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah’s womb. He did not waver at the promise of God, through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform.” To be fully convinced or persuaded about God’s word, you must constantly feed your spirit man prayerfully with the word of God .
“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom” Colossian 3:16
What does it mean for something to dwell in; it means you must think, meditate, and speak the word of God. No matter what you are facing; the barrenness, storms, obstacles, poverty, sickness etc. The word of God has the power to overcome them all.
“He sent His word and healed them, and delivered them from their destruction” Psalm 107:20.
I pray that you will rise above every limitations that surround you today and you experience God’s love all the days of your life in Jesus name (Amen).
